Visiting Washington, D.C.

Our nation's capital is filled with world-class cultural, historical, and educational activities and events year-round. This page includes helpful information and links to Washington's most popular tourist attractions. Please click on the icons to the left of this page and learn more about all of the attractions that D.C. has to offer.

One of the services we offer constituents is free tours of the United States Capitol. Please contact our office as early as possible at 202-224-4041 to help guarantee a tour.

With the newly opened Capitol Visitor Center (CVC), you can experience our nation's history as well as view original documents from the National Archives. Also included in the tour is a brief film further describing our nation's history and the legislative process. A certified CVC tour guide will begin your tour in the CVC and lead you through the historic rooms of the Capitol. Information about this new welcome center and how to plan a tour can be found here. When the Senate is in session, come to our office to receive a Senate Gallery pass to watch the Senate floor.

Capitol tours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Feel free to contact our office to arrange for tours of the White House, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the Pentagon.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our nation's capital!
